How do I enter?
Starting 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on July 1, 2007 until 11:59:59 PM EST on December 31, 2007, visit www.hitcharidetoouterspace.ca and complete the entry form, confirm compliance with the contest rules by checking the appropriate box and submit the entry on-line.
To enter by postal mail, complete all required fields on the
Gillette 2007 ‘Hitch a Ride to Outer Space’ Official Entry Form
available at in-store displays from participating retailers,
or print (by hand) on a plain piece of paper, your first and
last name, your full address including city, province and postal
code, your email address, your primary telephone number, your
date of birth, your gender, and your preferred language. Confirm
compliance with the contest rules with your signature and date
of entry and mail your completed entry in an envelope bearing
sufficient postage to:

To be eligible, mail-in entries must be postmarked no later than
December 31, 2007. Limit one (1) entry per person and/or e-mail address. In the event it is discovered that you submitted more than one entry, all additional/duplicate entries will be disqualified.

2.
Who is eligible to win?
Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who have reached
the age of majority in their province or territory of residence,
at the time of entry.
Employees of "Space Adventures", Procter & Gamble (collectively
the “Contest Sponsors”), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries,
advertising and promotion agencies, licensed wholesalers, and
distributors, a member of the immediate family of, or domiciled
with any of the above individuals, are not eligible to participate.

3.
What does the prize include?
There will be one (1) prize awarded consisting of one (1) "Space Adventures" sub-orbital flight.
Prize travel anticipated to occur by July 1, 2010.
Winner (as defined in the complete rules) will be notified of the departure date
and launch location three (3) months prior to scheduled date. Contest Sponsors
reserve the right to change such scheduled date as force majeure, health or other
condition of the crew or passengers, technical failures or difficulties or adverse
weather conditions may reasonably require. Winner must be available to travel
on the Contest Sponsors’ selected dates.
Prize also includes:
• round-trip coach airfare from the major Canadian commercial airport nearest the Winner’s home (departure point) to the first available "Space Adventures" sub-orbital flight launch location (to be determined at Contest Sponsors’ sole discretion),
• three (3) days of flight training,
• one (1) sub-orbital space flight,
• ground transportation to and from the launch location,
• hotel accommodations for one (1) [based on one (1) standard room, single occupancy, room and taxes only] for four (4) nights at a hotel chosen by the Contest Sponsors, and meals for the duration of the training program and launch day.
Approxmate Retail Value $80,000 USD.
Prize details, flight dates, hotel accommodation and restaurant choice are subject to change, at Contest Sponsors’ sole discretion, without notice or compensation. All other expenses not specifically described herein including, without limitation, room service, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance, together with any travel documentation or any applicable overnight layover, any costs associated with the mandatory medical screening described below under the heading “Selection Process”, and all personal expenses of any kind or nature are the sole responsibility of the Winner.
The odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received by the contest closing date.
At Contest Sponsors’ sole discretion, an $80,000 USD cash prize may be provided.

What kind of souvenirs can the winner expect?
During the spaceflight, the flight team will take photographs and individually customized video of the astronaut experience using interior and exterior cameras which can be kept as a memory of this once in a lifetime experience.

5.What will flight training include?
• 3 Days of intense training
and flight preparation
• Classroom and simulation exercises on the flight
program, critical vehicle systems, flight operations, zero-gravity
conditions, in-flight accelerations and spaceflight safety
procedures.

What will the experience be like?
• You will travel over 2X the speed of
sound.
• Feel gravity increase at the beginning of the 30-90
min spaceflight.
• View the limits of the Earth, and the vastness
of the universe beyond Earth’s atmosphere at an altitude
of over 100 kilometers.
• 5 minutes weightlessness while “free-floating” in
the cabin.
• Observe the ships ionization glow during hypersonic
re-entry
In an unprecedented sensory experience, rocket engines boost
you beyond the normal limits of flight to regions above 62 miles
(100 kilometers) - where space begins. After the engines shutdown,
you will experience up to five minutes of continuous weightlessness,
all the while gazing at the vast blackness of space and the blue
horizon of the Earth below.

7.
What will the winner have to do to prepare for the flight?
All of "Space Adventures"' sub-orbital spaceflights are preceded
by three days of intensive training and flight preparation. Not
only is this an important step for your safety aboard the flight,
but completing the training will enrich your flight experience
significantly. The training will familiarize you with the flight
program, critical vehicle systems, flight operations, zero-gravity
conditions, in-flight accelerations and spaceflight safety procedures.
On launch day, our flight specialists will guide you through
the final checklist, reviewing everything you learned in the
previous days' training.

8. How is the potential winner selected?
Potential winner (“Selected Entrant”) will be selected by random draw from amongst all eligible entries received via the internet by December 31, 2007 and by postal mail postmarked by December 31, 2007.
The draw will be held in Montreal, Quebec at 12 PM EST on January 15, 2008.
To be declared a winner (“Winner”), the Selected Entrant will be required to:
(i) correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill testing question to be administered by phone or mail,
(ii) execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability, and where permitted by law, a Publicity Release within five (5) days after issuance of written confirmation,
(iii) confirm medical eligibility to participate in the program by certifying that he/she does not have any physical or other condition or disability that would create a hazard for him/herself or other participants, and
(iv) execute and return "Space Adventures" Standard Terms and Conditions relating to the Space Flight.
A medical questionnaire will be provided to the Selected Entrant which shall be completed and executed by the Selected Entrant’s physician and returned to the Contest Sponsors within 30 days for medical screening.
Should the Selected Entrant’s physician or the Contest Sponsors determine during this initial screening process that the Selected Entrant’s health condition does not meet the requirements for the program, such Selected Entrant will be disqualified, all rights to the prize will be forfeited, and the Contest Sponsors will select another entrant from among all remaining eligible entries.
All decisions are final.
